Rick has lived in Raleigh most of his life and has deep roots in this community. After graduating from Sanderson High School, he went straight into his family’s tire and automotive business, located in downtown Raleigh. Working in the family business for over 50 years, taught him the value of hard work, customer service, and building strong relationships

Rick has been married to his wonderful wife for over 40 years, and together they built a life they’re truly thankful for. They have two sons, both proud UNC graduates, and they’re now the joyful grandparents of five amazing grandchildren. Spending time with them is one of Rick’s greatest pleasures-whether they’re outside playing, exploring, or simply hanging out together.

In his free time, Rick also enjoys playing golf, teaching firearms safety classes, volunteering at the Raleigh Rescue Mission, and staying active in church.
