Scott has over 20 years of experience living and working in foreign countries, including 11 years in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. He graduated from North Carolina State University and completed his masters in organizational leadership from Azusa Pacific. Scott is the Executive Director of Cherokee Gives Back, a private operating foundation committed to accelerating efforts to develop leadership, care for the environment and reduce poverty. He is also the co-founder and director of the Milagros Foundation, the cofounder of LifeWORKS (a leadership company focused on life skills curriculum), and the current VP of Operations for a new marketing company called goodXchange.

Scott lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife of 26 years, Jennifer. They have two children, Ellie and Perk.
