Doug lives in Joplin, Missouri with his wife Sheila. Three of their five children are still living at
home while the older two have flown the coop. Doug’s day job is serving as the Outreach
Center Director for Watered Gardens, a ministry to the homeless and impoverished. His
passion is helping people experience a flourishing life as only Jesus can provide. He has led
Jobs for Life for two years and has been a critical component in helping shelter residents and
men in their long-term program find and sustain meaningful work. Outside of his ministry and
family, his three favorite things are camping, reading, and coffee.
