Ruth Askew
Corporate Prayer Coordinator
Ruth Askew is a lady who seeks to love Jesus with all of her heart and knows the importance and power of prayer. She received Christ as her Saviour in her 30’s, giving her life to Him for missions. Ruth was a single mother of 3 young sons at that time. She asked the Lord where to begin as a missionary, and believed He was leading her to start a Bible Study for women in her neighborhood. That study ended up lasting almost 30 years. During that time, Ruth obtained a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling and began a counseling ministry which is ongoing. She has also taught Sunday School classes and has spoken at Women’s Retreats and on Mission trips, both here and abroad. Beginning in 2005, Ruth began to travel with various groups on short term mission trips, as the Lord opened the doors. She has a passion to see the gospel come to the nations and has been to over 17 nations so far.
Her 3 sons are now grown and married to lovely wives and she is the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, ages 14-24. Ruth feels both honored and excited to support Jobs for Life as a Prayer Coordinator.
